SINGAPORE; Oct. 29, 2020 – Accenture (NYSE: ACN) has been named a Leader in Gartner’s 2020 “Magic Quadrant for Data Center Outsourcing and Hybrid Infrastructure Managed Services, Asia/Pacific.”[1]
Accenture’s position in the Leaders Quadrant comes amidst the report’s finding of an acceleration in demand for data center managed services, fueled by companies in the region looking to balance cost reduction with maintaining capacity for business continuity.
According to Gartner, “The Asia/Pacific DCO/HIMS market (excluding Japan) will hit $29 billion in end-user spending in 2020. The fastest-growing segment is cloud IaaS, which is expected to grow at more than 40% in 2021 in Asia/Pacific. At the same time, traditional DCO will not see growth, and is expected to remain flat in 2021 and register growth from 2023 onwards, according to IT services end-user spending forecasts. Hosting and colocation will remain flat in terms of end-user spending during 2021 and remain stagnant until 2022.”
Accenture is furthest to the right in the Completeness of Vision axis, which is evaluated using eight main criteria: market understanding; offering (product) strategy; business model; innovation; geographic strategy; sales strategy; marketing strategy and vertical/industry strategy.

For this report, “Gartner evaluated 11 leading service providers’ ability to deliver data center managed services (DCMS) across Asia Pacific. DCMS comprises data center outsourcing (DCO), hybrid infrastructure managed services (HIMS), private cloud managed services, mainframe managed services, ERP hosting managed services, data center transformation services/cloud migration services, infrastructure utility services (IUS), remote infrastructure management (RIM) and edge data center managed services.”
